Nightlife in Wan Chai

The bars and clubs of Wan Chai are legendary, with many tales of misadventure being passed down from generation to generation – none more so than the tale of Suzie Wong. Nightlife in Wan Chai is focused on Lockhart Road, with its mix of gaudy bars topped by blinking neon, pumping nightclubs and live music bars that serve long after other areas of Hong Kong have closed for the night.

Wan Chai is more diverse in its nightlife offerings these days, with a host of cool cocktail bars and excellent restaurants to choose from. Despite these changes, it’s still the quirky bar scene for which it's most famous.
