The Sherlock Holmes Museum is housed in a Georgian townhouse and features artefacts and exhibits spanning the period of 1881 to 1904 when Holmes and Doctor Watson lived there. It's located on Baker Street and bears the number 221B, the same as the famous literary detective's address in the novels.
Each year, over 70,000 visitors come to the museum to view exhibits related to the characters and re-creations of scenes from the television series, ‘Sherlock Holmes’ from 1984. Generally, visitors spend 1 to 2 hours touring the museum and the gift shop.
