The Great Promenade Show is a series of 10 individual art installations designed for display along the Blackpool Promenade. Stretching from South Pier to the south, the Great Promenade Show features a range of commissioned works from established and emerging artists that reflect the area’s history and culture.
Millions of visitors come to the promenade each year and see the incredible artwork. The art installations are on display all year, for 24 hours a day, so you can visit with the kids during a sightseeing day out or watch the sunrise or sunset with your partner.

Great Promenade Show highlights
The Great Promenade Show features many incredible works that celebrate nature and human innovation. The High Tide Organ, one of the most famous sculptures, is a massive pipe organ that combines pipes on the seawall with pipes on the promenade. When high tide comes, the swell forces air through the pipes to make music.
Another notable sculpture is ‘The Swivelling Wind Shelters’, a sculpture made of stainless steel and wood that stands at 8 metres and moves with the wind, creating a permanent source of shelter from the elements. The ‘Glam Rocks’, a set of pebbles with constellations of fibre optic lights, is a must-see sculpture.

The Great Promenade Show is an outdoor attraction along the coast, so it’s free to visit. You can bring the kids or your pet to enjoy the sculptures and the surrounding attractions. Parking is limited to nearby car parks.
Numerous attractions are found near the Great Promenade Show, including Blackpool Pleasure Beach, an exciting amusement park with rollercoasters and family rides and games. Another fun experience is the Blackpool Tower Dungeon, a haunted attraction with ghosts and ghouls that’s appropriate for the whole family. If you want a break from the beach, visit the Sandcastle Waterpark for pools and slides.
